Building Inspection & Permits
The town has adopted the Wisconsin Uniform Dwelling Code and we have a building inspector for our town. If you have plans for construction, you will need a building permit first from the town and second from Vilas County Zoning.
The building inspector is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at his new office - located at 8735 Highway 47 E in Woodruff. You must travel to Eagle River to obtain county permits.
